The exterior of the new Ford Escape is designed for a versatile mix of driving adventures. High-strength steel with boron pre-hardened bolts is used to provide increased safety in the event of an impact. A backup camera with a wide field of view and dynamic guidelines helps drivers navigate obstacles when reversing or parking.

Multi-reflector halogen headlights come standard on all three Escape trim levels and automatically adjust to changing conditions such as severe rain, fog, snow or heavy dust. LED front headlamps are available as an optional feature.

The refreshed exterior design of the Ford Escape also enhances its aerodynamic efficiency with a coefficient of drag of just 0.32, a class-leading figure. The dynamic grille has been redesigned with a trapezoidal opening that helps deliver more air through the radiator into the engine bay. It improves engine cooling by 15 percent compared to the previous generation Escape while simultaneously reducing wind noise in the cabin by up to three decibels.
